Arcaydis SM35A Loudspeakers

After being asked to build a speaker like this for quite some time, Arcaydis decided to build this model which, although retro in appearance,with a clean sheet of paper. Care was taken not to use drive units that are used in other 'similar style boxes'. The dimensions of 300mm tall, 190mm wide and 165mm deep came about as a result of what our customers asked for. The end result, after a period of 6 months, is a loudspeaker with good bass response, imaging and power handling.

Arcaydis Interface

Connections between 2 pieces of equipment are important. Also, you would expect the 2 pieces of equipment to be designed properly and,in most cases, they are. However, most makes of equipment are designed to work with each other. Mixing them can cause problems. Now it doesn't. The interface presents a high impedance at it's input and a low impedance at it's output so, some of the effects of the interconnects are 'nullified'. This gives better imaging, lower noise floor, an increase in dynamic range and better bass control through the use of Burr-Brown chipsets. Interface comes complete with a plug-in-the-wall power supply. This product has been reviewed by both HiFi World and What HiFi. Both said it worked well.
